RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Handle phone calls from veterinarians, technicians, Fort Dodge field personnel, animal owners, breeders, FDAH distributors, etc. with technical questions about Fort Dodge products.
• Review ADE case records to become familiar with ADE reporting processes.
• Disseminate technical packet information as requested.
• Act as “gatekeeper” for the Professional Services Library.
• Complete ad-hoc assignments as directed by supervisor(s).
• Attend and participate in sales training and other business related education.
• Attend continuing education as required to maintain certifications/licenses.
• Initial contact person for adverse event reports. Forward to appropriate staff DVM as necessary.
• Collects history and details on reported incidents and enters into the database.
• Performs case investigation follow-up and complete regulatory case tasks and other case investigation requirements.
• Performs and assist with appropriate regulatory functions regarding individual cases with Professional Services DVMs.
• Receive and process mailed in ADE reports including corporate practice partner reports.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Certified/Registered Veterinary Technician or Associates degree in animal science, agriculture or related field.
• One to two years of directly applicable experience in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of the veterinary profession, animal health, animal pharmaceuticals and how these elements work together.
• Knowledge of medical/veterinary terminology, disease conditions/health problems required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge of manufacturing and processing of Biological, EPA and Pharmaceuticals.
